Frequently Asked Questions

Cosmetic tattooing, also known as permanent makeup, is a specialised treatment that places pigment into the upper layers of the skin to enhance the appearance of your brows, eyes or lips.

Treatments can restore definition to sparse brows, create lasting eyeliner or enhance the natural colour and shape of the lips. Every treatment is personalised to complement your skin, colouring, facial features and preferred style.

Cosmetic tattooing can make your everyday makeup routine quicker and easier while helping you feel polished without looking overdone.

It can create more defined brows, enhance the lash line and restore colour and definition to the lips. Your treatment is designed specifically for your face and preferred style, with the aim of creating a flattering result that still looks like you.

Yes. Every treatment begins with a personalised consultation to discuss the features you would like to enhance and the result you feel comfortable wearing.

Your skin, natural colouring, facial features and any existing cosmetic tattooing will be considered. Your design will be carefully mapped and approved by you before the treatment begins.

Cosmetic tattooing gradually fades over time. How long your result lasts will depend on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, skincare products, medications, pigment colour and the treatment area.

Many clients choose to have a colour boost approximately every 12 to 18 months to maintain their preferred colour and definition. Juliette can recommend an appropriate maintenance schedule once your cosmetic tattoo has healed.

Before your appointment, please follow the preparation advice provided by Perfection Enhanced. Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine for 24 hours beforehand, as these may increase sensitivity or bleeding.

Please tell Juliette about any medical conditions, allergies, recent cosmetic treatments and medications you are taking. Do not stop prescribed medication, including blood thinning medication, unless instructed by your doctor.

If you are having eyeliner tattooing, remove contact lenses and eyelash extensions before your appointment. If you are having Lip Blush and have previously experienced cold sores, contact your doctor before your appointment to discuss whether preventative antiviral medication is appropriate for you.
